Valdefresno sustituye a Cebada Gago en el encierro del día 9

ACTUALIZADO 17:48 h.

All eleven fighting bulls which had been sent to Pamplona from the Cebada Gago bull-ranch to run in the morning running of the bulls and to fight that same afternoon in the bullring have been rejected by the bullring vets after an examination which took place this morning. It seems that the bulls do not comply with the minimum weight requirements demanded by the Pamplona bullring authorities.

With a prompt rapidity, the Casa de Misericordia bullfight commission has already found a substitute bull-breed to replace the discarded bull-ranch of Cebada Gago for the bullfights on Tuesday, 9th of July. The Valdefresno bull-ranch has been selected to replace the underweight Cebada bulls. This ranch is located at Tabera de Abajo (Salamanca), and they will be making their debut in the Sanfermin bullfights.

According to what Sanfermin.com has managed to find out, the Cebada fighting bulls were in an optimum state back in January when the bullfighting commission members from the Casa de Misericordia made their initial selection for the Sanfermin bullfights.  However, it is clear that the bulls have not arrived in the same condition as they were in over the winter and they have failed to comply with the requirements demanded for such an important bullfighting week as Sanfermin.
