Final farewell

11/07/2009. The body of Daniel Jimeno is now in Alcalá de Henares, where tomorrow he will be laid to rest by his family and friends

The body of Daniel Jimeno, killed in yesterday's running of the bulls, after receiving a fatal goring, will be laid to rest tomorrow in Alcalá de Henares by his family and friends, after having been removed early today from the San Alberto funeral home in Pamplona on the final journey back to his hometown.

Alcalá de Henares continues in mourning for the dead runner. Yesterday, around one hundred friends and acquaintances kept a five-minute silence in the central Cervantes Square in the city. Today, the body will be waked so that his friends and relatives can say their final farewell.

In Pamplona today there was an intimate farewell only attended by family and friends and by the Mayor of Pamplona, Yolanda Barcina, who has spent all yesterday and today giving all the help she can to the stricken family of the young man.
