Over the next few days, Pamplona City Hall will put signs along the stretch of the Sanfermin Running of the Bulls with pictograms of running with bulls specially made for people who suffer from autism. These pictograms will be placed next to the plaques which already exist to indicate the route of the running of the bulls. The pictogram drawings represent objects and actions in a simple and real way and can be interpreted by speakers of any language. People who suffer from autism use these pictograms to understand the daily actions of those around them. Those pictograms placed along the stretch of the running of the bulls in Pamplona have been elaborated by the Portal Aragonés de la Comunicación Aumentativa y Alternativa ARASAAC  who are at the front line at a world level in the elaboration of this class of pictograms.

This campaign is part of an initiative taken by the Asociación Navarra de Autismo  (ANA) in order to implement this sign system to help all those people who suffer any kind of autism. They hope to sign a total of  2.000 location points in Navarra.
