Pamplona Runing of the bulls bag

Moore & Giles has put twenty exclusive ladies handbags on the market which were made from the hides of bulls that took part in the Sanfermin 2004

The American exclusive design firm, Moore & Giles, has put twenty exclusive ladies handbags on the market which were made from the hides of bulls that took part in the Sanfermin 2004 bullfighting week. At a price of 1, 500 euros per item, these ladies handbags are being sold in some of the most exclusive stores in the United States and they come accompanied with a red Sanfermin bandana. Each purse also has the name of the bull and the bullfighter who fought the particular animal engraved on the article.

According to a statement from Moore & Giles, this particular creation has been especially satisfying for them because the hides had been lying around for the past ten years, largely ignored. It was the vice-president of the firm, Tray Petty, who found the inspiration to exploit the hides. She made use of the fact that the hides have some imperfections which make each hide unique and she decided to make exclusive handbags, each with its own history, given the origin of the material. Finally, the product has been sold under the title Pamplona Benedict Weekend Bag and it has been distributed over the past week to different exclusive outlets.

The Factory treatment began on the 18th of July in The Dominican Republic where the Moore & Giles firm has an exclusive Factory for working on large hides. Here, work began under the attentive supervision of Production Manager, Audrey Morret. This was the first time ever that the hides from the fighting bulls used in the Sanfermin bullrunnings and bullfights were exploited in this way. The final stage of the process took place at the Company premises in Forest, Virginia where each piece comes with a voucher of authenticity and a Pamplona fiesta red necktie or bandana and with the information about the name of the bull and the bullfighter that killed the animal.

The retailing of these handbags in exclusive outlets has received attention from the different mass media, such as the sale of two of them at the exclusive store of M. Penner, in Houston and which was reported by the Houston City & Press. One of the handbags had already been bought even before being put on show at the store at a price of 1, 500 dollars.
