This second edition of the Sanferfilm film festival is receiving a favorable acceptance. Of the total of 39 submissions, 8 have been selected to compete for the 200 euro prize for the “Kukuxumusu First Prize”.
Films have been submitted from a wide variety of places: Argentina, México, Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valencia or The USA. None of the entries lasts longer than 30 minutes and they aim to reflect, through images, the different ways of understanding what fiestas are and what they mean in different places round the world and include everything from the “Villavesa, running of the bulls” to the pastureland events held in América.
The jury is once again chaired by Francisco Javier Zubiaur, and members include Imanol Reta, Sergio San Martín, Mikel Navarro and Eduardo Carrera. Projections of the finalist entries and the award ceremony will take place on Saturday, 16th of June at 17h at 21h in the Civican Auditorium on Pio XII Avenue in Iruñea /Pamplona.
