This photo shows the pain experienced on receiving a goring. In this case, the first one of the Sanfermin 2013 Running of the Bulls. The ginger bull from the El Pilar bull-breed, slipped up at the top of the slope at Santo Domingo where it gored an inexperienced 20-year-old young runner from The USA. The runner received a serious goring to the stomach and the photo taken by Manuel Jorge Pérez captures the exact moment of the goring. This runner will never forget his visit to Pamplona.
