Buscando Visa para un encierro de Sanfermin

Coolshot Production company filmed a recreation of the Pamplona Bull Running this past weekend in the town of Puente La reina (Navarra) as part of a TV advertisement which they are making for Visa en Brazil. In order to film the running, they used bulls from the Miguel Reta bull ranch and they used some experienced runners from the Pamplona bull running as well as some local extras. The main street of Puente la Reina, which also serves as part of the CRoad to Santiago route, was chosen as it is not dissimilar to the famous Estafeta street in Pamplona, an important part of the bullrunning stretch in Pamplona. In total, 10 seconds of film will go towards the creation of the TV spot and further filming was also now be made in Los Angeles and in Madrid.

This is not the first time that this Navarra town has been used as a double for the Pamplona Sanfermin fiestas. In 1990, the Samsonite trademark filmed a TV spot here in the very same street, and which is remembered for the anecdote when all the bulls and runners ran over someone’s travel bags without causing any damage. See advert. This story in fact occurred to the Swedish man, Lars Ignvar Jungefors – who was Kukuxumusu Guiri del Año 2006- the first time he appeared in Pamplona and when he ran his first running of the bulls with his baggage still in his hands.
