July 14, Wednesday _PAMPLONA-IRUÑA, San Fermin 1999. Fade bull-fight Bulls lacked breed. No reward

Pamplona-Iruña, July 13, 1999

Guadalest (Huelva) bulls yesterday, of irregular appearence, lacking breed. Juan Antonio Ruiz Espartaco: silence and salutations. Rivera Ordoñez: standing ovation and whistles. José Tomás: standing ovation and applause.

Yesterday's bull-fight came very short to the expectations. The matadors were unable to perform properly with the breed lacking bulls of Guadales. Juan Antonio Ruiz Espartaco, who due to a knee-lesion, hadn't fought in Pamplona for 5 years, reappeared with little success. Rivera Ordonez clearly showed that he is off form, had a especially disgraceful performance when killing his second bull (whistled).  José Tomás was arguably the best yesterday, only bad luck at the killing of his two bulls prevented him from cutting an ear.
