Pamplona-Iruña, July 11, 1999

Fifth bull-fight of San Fermin 99.  Eduardo Miura bulls, fine appearance. Sergio Sánchez: silence and silence. Farewell to bull-fighting. Juan José Padilla: One ear and two ears. Antonio Ferrera: silence and silence.

There was an obvious winner in yesterdays bull-fight, it was Juan José Padilla, who did fought bravely and performed wonderful faenas. He was rewarded with 3 ears and was carried out on the aficionados shoulders.

Sergio Sánchez in his farewell to bull-fighting,  didn't have good chance with the bulls, tame and dull. The same went for Antonio Ferrera: the bulls prevented him from fighting propperly.
