The first running of the bulls of Sanfermin 2004, with bulls from the Cadiz breeder, Torrestrella, turned out to be a fast clean run. There were no injuries caused by gorings. The streets were still very wet when the rocket went off, due to the heavy downpour of rain which lasted through most of the night and the slippery pavement was expected to make the run more hazardous. However, only eight people have suffered concussion at different stretches of the run, and none of them is seriously hurt.
