Playboy magazine and The Kukuxumusu Drawing Factory, through its web page www.sanfermin.com , announce the first international Sanfermin erotic photography competition, a contest where both firms will try to award creative photography by combining erotic photography with the Sanfermin fiestas. A week-end trip to Paris is awaiting the winning entry while the runner-up will receive the award of a camera. Entries are open until the 14th of September.

The idea of the competition came into being when the sponsors noticed the high quality of some photos with erotic qualities, taken during the Sanfermin fiestas over these last years by various different people. The wide possibilities that Sanfermin fiestas can offer, with an ever-present theme like eroticism to be found there, inspired Kukuxumusu and Playboy magazine to announce the competition. It is hoped that this competition will become a yearly event and, above all, aspects such as the creativity, sensibility and the imagination of the authors will be prized.

As stated in the ground rules for the competition, the photos should have some relation with the Sanfermin fiestas, although they need not necessarily have been taken directly in Pamplona and during the days of the fiestas. However, they should contrive to evoke some of the aspects present in the fiesta days which take place each year between the 6th and 14th of July. The photos may be taken with any kind of technique and on any kind of background support, either with photogenic treatment or without it. However, it should have enough resolution for its reproduction (300 ppp/inch and 24×30 cm). The competition jury will be made up of two photography experts and another two specialists in design from the Playboy magazine and from sanfermin.com along with the creative director and founder of Kukuxumusu, Mikel Urmeneta who is the inspiration behind the idea. The result will be announced both in the webpage www.sanfermin.com and in the Playboy magazine. Likewise, the regulations for entering may now be consulted at sanfermin.com.
