Fireworks Display in between (another’s) arms and legs

The fireworks show is an event. And it takes place every night of the fiestas. Tonight, then, there is a fireworks show, rationally enough. And last night there was one. And tomorrow night there will be one. Always at night and always at the same hour of the night. So it can be seen on any day, hence, no sweat if you don’t catch it tonight.

In fact, this event is not difficult to see. It’s a question of heading for the Vuelta del Castillo Park (to get the best view, that is) and stretch yourself out on the grass (or sit down, or sprawl, or lounge or straddle or whatever) and turn your face up to the night sky and repeat “Wow, or Oooh, or Phew, or Cooo”, depending on each one’s particular reaction.

How and ever, if the fireworks should seem a bit boring, if your interest in them is null and zero, if you have no interest whatsoever in learning to appreciate them, and if you are in the right company, there is always the possibility of ignoring them and giving over your body and soul to other business, more readily at hand. Because the fact is, while this particular zone is the best place to watch the fireworks, it is also the best place to ignore them completely. And in order to ignore them you only need a couple of prerequisites: the right company, clothes that can stand the stains of damp grass,

a little discretion in order not to raise any dubious glances, a sandwich or whatever to divert suspicion, an alibi to justify your absence from the rest of your mates and, of course, a certain lack of interest in the art of firework displays. Embraced by the night and the deafening roar of the fireworks exploding mean that the kisses, hugs, caresses, fumblings, gropings, all go unnoticed. Get the idea? Well, get over there and let off some of your own steam
