The bulls from the Cebada Gago breed were once again the protagonists of a very dangerous running of the bulls – something that is not unusual for them. The running of the bulls lasted 4:40 min. and produced three injured from gorings, at the stretch of Estafeta street, at the stretch of the entrance to the bullring and a serious injury in Mercaderes.
The pack of bulls sped out of the pen in Santo Domingo at a very fast pace and they kept tightly together until half way up this stretch. The bull who was leading the pack tumbled into a youth and fell to the ground. Some meters further on the two bulls bringing up the rear slipped on the ground and got separated from the rest of the pack for the rest of the course.
On entering the City Hall square, these two loose bulls charged against some runners who were on the right side of the fencing but without causing any serious danger. Here one of the two bulls slipped and fell a second time. On the bend of Mercaderes the bulls slipped spectacularly on the wet surface and they ran up Estafeta street in some disorder.
