The bullrunning in 3D, the novelty from the latest Kukuxumusu collection for Sanfermin 2010

30/06/2010. 3D Aesthetics to see the running of the bulls as you have never seen it before – a bird’s eye view but with bulls and runners closer than ever before

The special Kukuxumusu drawing for the 2010 fiestas can now be seen on posters, billboards, phone booths, calendars and on various products of the Sanfermin Kukuxumusu collection. On all these supports, and on the tee shirts as well, the graphic resource of 3D has been used, a novel approach from The Drawing Factory which uses this technique for the first time in its twenty-one years of producing Sanfermin drawings. To get the three-dimensional view of the drawing, Kukuxumusu has manufactured more than 40.000 special glasses which are already available at all their outlets and which will be handed out at different locations throughout the fiestas. It will be also available at our online shop.

On this special tee shirt of the year, the drawing with the three-dimensional view can be seen on the rear of the garment, while on the front, the drawing of the running of the bulls has been made in normal form. "It's a tee shirt to have some fun with, and to have a laugh at the 3D effect. That's why the 3D is on the rear side, so we can view the drawing on other peoples' tee shirts" explains Mikel Urmeneta, creative director at Kukuxumusu.

Urmeneta stressed that the drawing is "doubly special" since, not only has it got the novelty of being able to be viewed in 3D, but it is also meant to be a special homage to all those people who have been accompanying Kukuxumusu down through the years during Sanfermin. "We have managed to get into the drawing of the running of the bulls all the previous winners of the Kukuxumusu award for foreign visitors, the ‘Guiri del Año', as well as two representatives from the ‘Jai Day', festival, where we pay homage to other renowned fiestas around the world - both the person who came last year for the Tomatina and for this year's Oktoberfest replica which we are hosting. There are also other personalities who have supported us down the years from our beginnings and even us three founder-members of Kukuxumusu have found a spot among the crowd of runners.

In addition to this special "star" tee shirt for Sanfermin 2010, The Factory of Ideas and Drawings have launched a wide variety of other tee shirt models, among them a special homage to the Giants and all their Troupe as they celebrate the 150th anniversary of their creation.
