Not long to go ...

In the end, they got me into it and I had to go and open the first barrel. Like a true champion I was, a champion bull

9th day. Bavarian Boozing

09/07/2010.

I'm always up for anything that's new and different, funny, novel and smells of a party scene. Be it Guiri Day - Kukuxumusu's day for the foreigners, a spit-expulsion olive stone competition to see who can spit the stone the farthest, or just a nice never-ending flow of drinks in the friendly and crowded atmosphere of the Marrano Bar in San Nicholas street. As long as blue bulls are made welcome and there is no cover charge and nobody steps out of bounds - even though the line is not visible, we all know that the boundary line exists. Then this is the perfect setting for yours truly. Under these circumstances you can expect me to accept all welcome invitations. And if they need a blue bull to help the public relations end of things, I am their man. Thus, it was that yesterday I found myself having a hell of a good time at the Jai Day - the event organized by Kukuxumusu to mix in some other well-known fiesta scene with the Sanfermin scene. Yesterday, it was the turn of the Oktoberfest from Munich. And there I was, all dressed-up like a Bavarian bull, swallowing gallons of good German beer and munching and chewing at some genuine German sausage. It is a well-known fact that this is what Mr.Testis came into this world to do. That is, to eat and drink his fill. The Oktoberfest fiesta was simply divine with an endless supply of food and drink. I am a simple soul at heart, happy with simple things like endless food and drink. Later there was some genuine Bavarian music and all that cultural kind of thing. But my scene is the simple one so I just did what I do best and ate and drank my fill.
Let's see if this year the crowd from the "Struendo" serve us up some cured meat and black pudding sausage at their scene.
