A French man was seriously injured when he fell yesterday afternoon into the trenches located at the Taconera Park (more precisely, the injured man fell into the mini-zoo (where the ducks are to be found), from a height of between four and five meters, according to information in the local newspaper of today Sunday - Diario de Noticias.

The man is suffering from a cracked skull according to medical sources. He was removed to hospital by ambulance in an unconscious state to receive treatment from the emergency services of the Hospital de Navarra, after being rescued from the trenches by Firemen Services.

SOS Navarra received notification of the accident about 19.22 p.m. yesterday when a young man telephoned to warn them of the accident. An ambulance was immediately sent to the scene of the accident along with the Firemen who rescued the injured man from the trenches in the Taconera.

Local Police were also at the scene as well as National policemen. According to a statement issued by the police, the man fell from the railings when he tried to sit on them. According to the statement, the man was running when he stopped to sit on the railings.
