The first international competition of Hemingway doubles and lookalikes organized in Pamplona now has a winner - Tom Grizzard from the USA. This victory was celebrated exuberantly by the winner on stage as it now means he is current champion both in Key West, Florida as well as in Pamplona.
Some 2000 people watched the outcome of the final and Tom Grizzard wins 1,500 euro for himself as well as a free trip to cover the Hemingway Route in 2010. He was doubly happy as he is the first ever winner of this competition in Pamplona. The Government Department of Tourism in Navarra sponsored the competition as this year is the 50th anniversary of the last visit made to Pamplona by Hemingway. Among the Jury was the grandson of Hemingway, John, who will accompany us on the 9th of July - Hemingway Day in Sanfermin.
