As has been the case every year since 2002, Mikel Urmeneta, creative director at Kukuxumusu, has been behind the main image for the front page of the Diario de Noticias newspaper on the 6th of July. This Navarra newspaper is a key reference for all information about the Sanfermin fiestas and this year it celebrates its 15th anniversary.
On this occasion, to illustrate the start of the fiestas, Urmeneta utilized a very special technique, as can be seen in this video. With a bottle of ketchup and another one of mayonnaise, he created an image of the City Hall building as the opening Txupinazo rocket goes off. Afterwards he photographed the design and this is the image that from early morning can be seen on the Pamplona newspaper.
In fact it is precisely the Diario de Noticias newspaper that will publish a daily article written by Mr. Testis between the 6th and 15th of July in its special supplementary. Mr. Testis from Kukuxumusu has, over these last few years, become a significant icon of the fiestas. This section can also be followed at Sanfermin.com
