The “Incordión” take over the streets of Pamplona

09/07/2009. The third edition of the INCORDION AWARD was given to Kukuxumusu

The "Incordion" a spontaneous initiative based on music and organized by a group of young people from Pamplona, once again hit the streets of Pamplona yesterday ready to enliven and reverberate through the streets of the old part of Pamplona. As has been a tradition for the past 8 years, the group opened up with a lunch and some drinks and then continued with their drinking and their dancing. They warmed up the ambience with their playing and dancing and after the meal; they re-created the bullring scene in the middle of the Plaza del Castillo square, with their "bull", "bullfighter" and even the "picador" on horseback.

During the afternoon, the mobile-disco created by the organizers passed through the streets of the old part of Pamplona to the rhythm of music. One of the most awaited moments was when they handed over the third edition of the INCORDION AWARD to The Drawing Factory. One of the founder-members of Kukuxumusu, Gonzalo Dominguez de Bidaurreta, stepped up onto the mobile-disco in the middle of San Nicholás Street to receive the award.

It all started 8 years ago when one of the organizers took up his accordion and joined in with a group of friends with the idea of creating a bit of a hullaballoo. Each year they repeated more people joined in on this rather singular orchestra and now there are some 170 people who come together in Sanfermin to leave their own particular mark on the fiestas by creating a hullaballoo in the streets.
