“El Cid” the matador is gored in the scrotum

This was one of the most awaited bull fights, but the fourth day of the Sanfermin bullfights did not live up to expectations. The afternoon quickly went awry when "Garboso", the first bull to enter the arena, charged and gored El Cid, causing a ten-centimeter goring to his thigh. He then suffered another jab to his thigh and a cut to his scrotum.

The bulls did not inspire the packed bullring, as they seemed tired and uninspired and they did not show the same energy and swiftness as they had earlier that morning shown in the running of the bulls.
