Bullfighting in jeans

14/07/2009. Ferrera and Perera both got an ear each but the Fuente Ymbro bulls were not up to expectation

What looked like a promising afternoon of bullfighting, with an ear award each for the first two bullfighters, Ferrera and Perera, ended up as a disappointing afternoon of bullfighting as only the first two bulls were worthy protagonists for the bullfighters.

Only the first bull showed mettle as a fighting bull and it was Ferrera who faced this bull and he was awarded an ear, earned principally for making a clean kill with his first sword. The second bull was strong and brave and he ripped the trousers from Perera without giving him a goring. The bullfighter continued to fight wearing a pair of jeans. Although his attire was far from proper in the bullring, the bullfighter did not disappoint and he was awarded the second and last ear of the afternoon.
