The last runner hospitalized from the Sanfermin running of the bulls has been discharged

28/07/2009. The other two remaining runners who had been in hospital were given a discharge last week

The runner from Pamplona, Pello Torreblanca, who suffered serious injuries from a goring on the 12th of July at the entrance leading into the bullring, was discharged this morning from the Hospital de Navarra. Torreblanca had received two gorings from the Jandilla bull, "Ermitaño". He was gored to his thorax with a penetration to his breastbone and a second goring to his left thigh with a double penetration of 5 and 15 centimeters.

Pello Torreblanca was the last runner remaining in hospital after the Sanfermin running of the bulls as another runner from Pamplona, P.A.I., aged 51, was discharged from the Hospital Virgen del Camino last 25th of July and a third runner from Calahorra (La Rioja) J.M.C, aged 56, who had been gored to his neck at the Mercaderes Bend was discharged last 22nd of July.
