The five people taken off to hospital with contusions after the last running of the bulls on Monday, 14th of July have all been discharged

The five people taken off to the hospitals of The Navarra Public Health Service after suffering from contusions in the last running of the bulls of Sanfermin 2008 have been discharged progressively over the morning. There were no gorings in the final running.

The following runners were treated in The Hospital de Navarra:

-B.E.L., Aged 24, from Madrid. He suffered traumatism to his left knee in the Telefonica stretch. His condition is reserved.

-R.V.R., aged 30, from Castellon. He suffered multiple contusions in the Telefonica stretch. His condition is reserved.

-T.W., aged 21 of Danish nationality. He had a scalp wound and also suffered contusion to his left calf muscle. He condition is reserved.

The runners treated at The Virgen Del Camino hospital were the following:

-M.B.R., aged 27, from Zaragoza. He suffered a dislocation to his hand in the Estafeta stretch.

-P.C.D., aged 31, from The United Kingdom. He suffered traumatism to his shoulder blade in the Santo Domingo stretch.

Favourable evolution of the patients admitted to ward from previous runnings.

With regard to the treatment received from previous runnings, there are seven patients still confined to ward in the two hospitals. Yesterday, one patient was discharged from the Hospital Virgen Del Camino. He is J.E.A., aged 26, from Lesaka (Navarra) who suffered a fractured wrist in the running of the bulls on the 12th of July.

More particularly, There are four patients in The Hospital de Navarra and their condition is as follows:

-J.M.E.A., aged 37, from Lekunberri (Navarra). He was admitted to hospital on the 7th suffering from thoracic traumatism, hemoneumothorax from multiple rib fractures, a broken spleen and surrounding abdominal bruising. He is making favourable progress.

-A.G.H., aged 37, from Amorebieta (Vizcaya). He suffered traumatism to his right elbow, his back lumbar region and cranial and thoracic contusion. He was admitted on the 8th and he is making favourable progress.

-W.M.D., aged 22, from California. He suffered a goring to his right buttock. He was admitted on the 9th and he is making favourable progress.

-I.F.R., aged 28, from Valladolid. He suffered a goring to his right thigh in the running of the bulls on the 10th. He is making good progress.

-D.A.C., aged 19, from Santander. He suffered thoracic traumatism with two rib fractures and sight unilateral neumothorax. He was injured yesterday, 13th of July and he is making favourable progress.

Meanwhile, in The Virgen Del Camino Hospital, two patients continue on ward and they are making good progress.

-P.A.N., aged 33, from Pamplona. He suffered multiple contusions at the Mercaderes stretch on the 10th of July. He is making good progress.

-W.J.C., aged 26, from Colombia. He suffered a goring to his right thigh when a bull caught him at the final stretch leading into the bullring on the 12th of July. He was admitted to Orthopaedic Surgery Section. He is making good progress.
