Throughout the morning seven of the eight runners have been discharged after receiving treatment after the seventh running of the bulls of the San Fermin fiestas. The one patient kept overnight is D.A.C: aged, 19 from Santander who is suffering from thoracic traumatism.
More particularly, The Emergency Service of The Virgen del Camino Hospital treated the following runners throughout the morning after the running of the bulls:
-E.G.H., aged, 42, from Pamplona. He suffered multiple contusions. He has been discharged.
-H.D.P. aged 31, from Calpe (Alicante). He suffered contusion to his back lumbar area.
-A.F.O. aged 42, from Scotland. He was admitted to Emergency Services with a cranial traumatism and he has already been discharged.
-J.G.V. aged 36, from Lugo (Galicia). He suffered a nasal traumatism. He has been discharged.
-D.A.C. aged 19, from Santander. He suffered a thoracic traumatism. He has been moved to The Hospital de Navarra where he remains in ward.
-Meanwhile, The Emergency Services of The Hospital de Navarra treated three patients for the following injuries after the running of the bulls:
-D.V.R., aged 30, from Castellon. He suffered a cranial traumatism and traumatism to his left thoracic. His condition is slight and he has been discharged.
-R.S.T. aged 24, from Tarragona (Catalonia). He suffered traumatism to his thorax and to his shoulder blade. His condition is slight and he has been discharged.
-F.G.G., aged 23, from Albacete. He suffered multiple contusion and traumatism to one leg. His condition is slight and he has been discharged.
Favourable progress of the patients in wards
With regard to the patients treated over the previous days, seven people remain confined to ward in the two hospitals. According to the medical reports issued by both centres, all the patients are making good progress.
More particularly, in The Hospital of Navarra there are four patients and their condition is as follows:
-J.M.E.A., aged 37, from Lekunberri (Navarra) who was admitted after the running of the bulls on the 7th of July suffering from thoracic traumatism, hemoneumothorax from multiple rib fractures, broken spleen and surrounding abdominal bruising. His progress is favourable.
-A.G.H., aged 37, from Amorebieta (Vizcaya) with traumatism to his right elbow, back lumbar traumatism and cranial and thoracic contusion. He was admitted on the 8th and is progress is favourable.
-W.M.D., aged 22, from California. He suffered a goring to his right buttock . He was admitted on the 9th after the running of the bulls and his progress is good.
-I.F.R., aged 28, from Valladolid. He was gored in his right thigh in the running of the bulls of the 10th. His progress is good.
Three patients remain in the Virgen del Camino hospital and their situation is as follows:
-P.A.N. aged 33, from Pamplona. He suffered multiple contusion on the Mercaderes stretch in the running of the bull on the 11th. His progress is good.
-W.J.C., aged 26, from Colombia. He was gored by a bull to his right thigh after being caught in the stretch of the run leading down into the bullring on the 12th. He was admitted to Orthopaedic Surgery Service. His progress is good.
-J.E.A. aged 26, from Lesaka (Navarra). He suffered an ulna fracture and area of his left wrist on the 12th. He was admitted to Orthopaedic Surgery. His progress is good.
