A 26 year-old runner from Colombia, C.W.J. suffered a goring to his right thigh when he was caught by the bull at the entrance to the bullring in today´s running of Saturday the 12th of July. He has been admitted to the Emergency Service of the Hospital Virgen del Camino.
In this same hospital of the Navarra Health Service the following four runners were also treated:
- R.C.S., aged 55, from Barcelona, suffering from an incision to his right ear and has already been discharged.
- K.A., a 33 year-old man from Ghana, suffered a fracture to his jaw and he has already been discharged. He was injured in the final stretch at the entrance to the bullring.
- J.M.E.A., a 26 year-old man from Lesaka (Navarra) with a fracture to his left wrist and he has been admitted to the Orthopedic Surgery Service. His condition is stable. He suffered the injury at the entrance to the bullring.
- R.B.C., A 29 year-old from Madrid, suffered a nasal fracture and he has already been discharged. He was injured in the Estafeta stretch of the course.
Progress of the hospitalized runners from earlier runnings
In the two public hospitals of the Navarra Public Health Service, as well as the injured from today´s run, there are five patients from earlier runnings.
In the Hospital of Navarra four patients continue on the wards and their progress is as follows:
- J.M.E.A. aged 37, from Lekunberri (Navarra) admitted after the running of the 7th of July, with thoracic traumatism, hemoneumothorox from multiple rib fractures, broken spleen and surrounding abdominal bruising. He is making favorable progress within the gravity of his injuries.
- A.G.H. aged 37. from Amorebieta (Vizcaya) suffering from a traumatism to his right elbow, back lumbar region and skull and thoratic contusion. He was admitted on the 8th. His condition is stable.
-W.M.D. a 22 year-old from California, suffered a goring to his right buttock. He was admitted on the 9th and his condition is stable.
-I.F.R. aged 28, from Valladolid. He suffered a goring to his thigh on the 10th. His condition is stable.
The Hospital Virgen del Camino only has one patient:
- P.A.N. aged 33, from Pamplona. He suffered multiple contusions at the running of the bulls on the 10th.
-Meanwhile M.S.E. a 22 year-old from Pamplona, injured in yesterday´s running of the bulls (Friday) with abdominal bruising, has already been discharged from the Virgen del Camino hospital after remaining in observation in the ward.
