Just one person needed hospital treatment after the fifth running of the bulls of these San Fermín fiestas, with bulls from the Jandilla bull-ranch. The runner taken off to hospital, with the initials M.S.E. is a young man of 22 years of age and he is from Pamplona. He was taken to the Emergency Services of the Hospital Virgen del Camino suffering from abdominal traumatism. The young man received the blow while he was running in the Estafeta stretch.
Meanwhile, seven runners continue to be confined to hospital from the previous runnings of the bulls.
There are three in the Virgen del Camino Hospital and four in the Hospital de Navarra, suffering from contusions and gorings of various kinds, received in the earlier runnings. In general, all of them are making good progress. At midday today, a medical bulletin will be published from the two hospitals giving the latest details about the condition of these patients.
