Since 1972 the Seattle Peña Club haven't missed the Sanfermin fiestas

The Peña Seattle was founded in Pamplona in the summer of 1972, with the name of RdSFFTAELS (the Robert de San Fermin Free Thinking and Easy Living Society) and they meet up once a year to enjoy the Sanfermin fiestas.

The Hotel Avenida in Pamplona was their headquarters during fiestas, although recently they have begun meeting in other premises such as the AC Ciudad de Pamplona. They offer the chance to anyone to join as long as they have been to Pamplona, have survived the running of the bulls and that also have a relationship with Euskal Etxea de Seattle and the The Scarlet Macaw association.

When talking about this Peña, we shouldn't forget the role of Philip Ross, the go-getter, entrepreneur, a lover of the Sanfermines and a good guy. Through his company, many Americans have come to know the Sanfermin fiestas in full flavor.
