Perhaps this year marked the definitive arrival of Kukuxumusu, the year that, from within, the firm began to take itself more "seriously" and put a wide offer of products on the market for the fiestas.
The "star" tee shirt was "Castiella" which offered a converse vision of the running of the bulls with everything back to front. That viewpoint and that idea of giving a twist to everything were what made Kukuxumusu such a distinctive brand name. The tee shirt paid homage to the foreign visitors as well as to the long-standing stationary shop - "La Castiella"- the site from which Mikel Urmeneta usually watched (as he imbibed) the "txupinazo". A circular version of the tee shirt of the running of the bulls from the previous year also went down a bomb with the public.
