Kukuxumusu is a company from Iruñea/Pamplona that, among other varied activities, does the editing of this web page so that everyone all round the world can discover what Sanfermin is all about. Its relationship with Sanfermin goes back a long way. Ever since 1989, Kukuxumusu dedicates a part of itself to generating drawings and ideas on how to enjoy and create enjoyment during the fiestas. Each year it launches its tee shirts collection to dress the city up in white and red and has blue bulls going round in their pelt. Each Sanfermin it also celebrates a Guiri Day where it awards some particular foreigner for the passion and love that they have shown for the Sanfermin fiestas over the years.
Kukuxumusu approaches Sanfermin fiestas from many sides. Through the new technologies for example: The Drawing Factory has created a special clock that goes backwards and counts down how long is left to go before the fiestas take off. It reminds the impatient fans that "there is not long to go". Kukuxumusu has also created several screensavers that with funny bulls that fly or swim, a radio that just broadcasts Sanfermin music, and even a computer device that can estimate the risk involved in running the bulls on any given day.
One of their latest offers has been the creation of Sanfermin.tv a television channel broadcast through the Internet and which shows the key events of the fiestas such as the txupinazo opening rocket, the running of the bulls, the partying in all its diversity, the goings-on of one of its characters, Mr. Testis in the bullring or just about anything else that takes place between the 6th and the 14th of July.
A good part of what Kukuxumusu gets up to during fiestas can be put down to the twisted mind of Mikel Urmeneta, a rather special being who can find time to drink up the fiestas pint by pint and yet also plan further happenings that help the enjoyment along.
