Gallico de Oro Award

The Napardi gastronomical society, founded in 1953, pays recognition to people from Pamplona who has stood out in a praiseworthy manner in different fields of Navarra society over the year.

In 1986, the Governing Board of the Napardi gastronomical society approved a ruling to establish an annual award for the person "born or connected with Pamplona, who in their work or effort has stood out over the year whether in the world of art, science, sport, culture or humanitarian efforts, being excluded any political or religious merits." The award consists of attaching a broach of gold on the person's lapel as well as awarding an apron with the logo of the society and the handing over of a parchment with the agreement of the board to name and award the figure of the "Gallico".
