Bombo de Oro

The Bombo de Oro Award is an award that the La Jarana Peña Club hands out on members' day which takes place on the Sunday before San Fermin fiestas start

The Bombo de Oro award takes place with the bestowing of a gold and silver trophy made by Javier Pelegrín, which represents a bombo or big drum and its drumstick. As the Peña Club state on their web page: "the award goes to those people or institutions which have stood out during the year for their work for the good of the city." While the president reads out the award citation in verse, the club members shout "Bombo" at the end of each verse.
