Prizes at the San Fermin fiestas

More than 35 different prizes are awarded at the San Fermin fiestas, the most noteworthy being in the fields of art and bullfighting.

If more than 2 million people come to Pamplona for the San Fermin fiestas and there are more than 35 different prizes, then the chance that you might win something may not seem very good. But you stand a much better chance of winning one than you have of winning the lottery, which involves fewer prizes and more people. True enough, those who live in Pamplona all year round are more likely to win something, but then there had to be some kind of compensation for enduring our boring winters.

There are prizes of all kinds, like the one for the foreign San Fermin fan, the best photographer, the one for the sauciest artist or the one for the person who can spit an olive pit the furthest. There are even prizes for animals, like the one for the bravest bull, and for things, like the best firework display. Although it should be said that many more, lesser-known prizes also exist, like the prize for the drunkest person, the best kiss, the best jump from the Navarrería fountain, the most cowardly bull runner and the prize for the person who looks best in white trousers.

We have put them all together so that you can get an idea of all the different disciplines and acknowledgements, perhaps one of the most important contests being the San Fermin poster competition.
