San Sebastian de los Reyes today celebrates its principal day of the fiesta week held in honor of the Santísimo Cristo de los Remedios. And that is why there will be a bigger participation than on other days of the fiesta week. Once again, the organization has proved to be up to scratch and the participation is higher than ever and a delight to both those inside the fencing and those outside it as well as those who will watch the running on TV.
Canal Norte TV- who own the rights of the images of the running shown here (27-8-2008) - are covering the runnings each morning and, in unison with Antena 3 Television, they are broadcasting the runnings live each morning. The web pages of these two TV channels provide all the information about the runnings. There is also a web page run by the Asociación Cultural El Encierro- el-encierro.com and this same association has also published a book and a daily magazine as well as sponsor the VIII Photography Competitionof the Encierro de Sanse and the V edition of a narration, among many other things.
In the occurrence of the runnings of the bull at San Sebastian de los Reyes this year, there have not been any serious accidents so far, other than the usual bruising, falls and troddings. There have been an average of 10 injuries per day and the runnings are covered at an average time of 1: 40 sec.
