Javier Retegui Zubieta passed away just recently in Pamplona. Javier was a historic figure of photo-journalism and specialized in the running of the bulls. Even if he has departed, there remains the consolation of being able to appreciate his work. Javier was both a son and a nephew to two historical photographers of the running of the bulls, who founded the trademark, Zubieta and Retegui. Sanfermin.com was always well-received by Javier and he ceded many important photos for the creation and enlargement of this web site, both before and after consolidating itself as a worldwide reference on information on the Sanfermin fiestas. With these lines we wish to keep his figure in memory and foster interest and admiration in the many photos from this great line of photographers.
