Nearly one million viewers followed the broadcasting on TV of each morning's running of the bulls, either on Spanish National Television or on Cuatro TV; the two channels which broadcast the running live.
The highest number of viewers fell on the 7th of July, when 1, 142,000 people watched the Dolores Aguirre bulls take part in the running of the bulls. That day the share was 69% - that is to say, that for every hundred viewers watching TV, 69 were watching the running of the bulls.
In the contention between the two TV channels broadcasting the running of the bulls, the national television channel had a higher number of viewers on each of the eight days, although it must be said that as each day passed, the number of viewers watching Cuatro TV was increasing. So, while on the first day the difference between the two channels was more than 300,000 viewers, on the final day the difference had shortened to just 37,000 viewers.
