Photographer Mikel Lasa chooses the stretches of Santo Domingo, City Hall and Telefonica for taking photos of the running of the bulls

Mikel Lasa has been in Sanfermin.com ever since we added the dot to the word Sanfermin. He was the author of the first digital photos included on the web after the txupinazo opening rockets of the 1998 Sanfermin fiestas. So he is one of the veteran photographers of Sanfermin, not so much in age as in the number of fiestas he has covered and portrayed. As well as being an excellent photographer of the running of the bulls, specializing in the stretches of Santo Domingo and Telefonica, he is also one of the best coverers of the fiestas in Sanfermin.

In addition to his technique, his experience and the amount of hours totaled up in San Fermin fiestas, he has a special approach or empathy with the people he is about to capture on his camera that allows him to achieve what he is looking for, especially when he wants to capture a smile. And he even seems to capture the bull in the running of the bulls with personality.
