Fast food

If you don’t have much time and you’re really hungry you can visit different kind of fast food places:

The pizza places are a popular fast-food alternative and in Pamplona there is a Pizza Hut, Pizza World, Telepizza, and Domino's. In Sanfermin all of them will be full of people, so you will have to wait a little bit; be patient.

A good French-bread sandwich could be a quick and cheap solution to the problem of eating. There are some bars which specialize in this kind of sandwich such as the Bearin-plaza or Las Navas. But of course many bars, without being specialists in the field can produce very good sandwiches, such as the Niza, the Jesús Mari, the Kantxa , the Cofradía, the García, the Gotor, the Orbela, the Campana or the Mesón de la Navarrería. And the good thing is that you can usually get this service any time of the day or night.

A dough fried in olive oil is as a breakfast dish. Particularily after the running of the bulls and helped down with hot chocolate. La Mañueta specializes in making them and has been opening its doors to the public for over a hundred years during the Fiesta of Sanfermin. Nowadays they open also some weekends of october. Well-worth a visit. The only problem is that they are so delicious that there is always a long queue and you have to wait half or an hour to get a dozen. If you have been out all night it can be a kind of torture. There are other stands where you can get txurros as well, in Antoniutti park: they sell typical txurros or big txurros with cream or chocolate inside, chips, wafles… It is not the same, but they can be eaten.

Inside the fun-fair in Yanguas y Miranda and the dance in Antoniutti there are some enormous tented stands which serve food well into the night. Nothing special nor really cheap but if there is nothing else going at that hour of the night....They come from different parts of the peninsula and serve open-air meals: salads, paella (rice), fried chicken with chips and green peppers, Parma ham… Nice, but a little bit expensive.
