On the 13th I introduced them to one another. They greeted each other and spoke for a short moment. The one on the left is Paulina Fernandez, widow of Josetxo Elizalde and the person responsible for a miracle: i.e. running the famous Fritter-shop in Mañueta Street and which was founded in 1872. Nowadays, it only opens in Sanfermin.
The one on the right is Lola Garcia-Lomas, widow of Donan Pher, The Emperor of the Biro; the mythical street vendor who came to Sanfermin each year without fail for more for than 50 years.
Two Capital Ladies united to two capital things, Fiestas and Life.
Two tender expressions.
Two natures from which there is much we could learn.
A Goodbye Kiss and see you next year or maybe before.
