City Councilor, Maite Esporrín, will set off the “txupinazo” fiesta-opening rocket

As was widely expected, the Socialist Councilor, Maite Esporrín will have the honor of setting off the opening txupinazo rocket to launch the 2009 Sanfermin fiestas. The Mayor, Yolanda Barcina, confirmed this morning that she had told the PSN socialist party that it was their turn to choose a candidate to set off the opening txupinazo rocket that starts off the fiestas. The PSN has given the honor to its speaker in City Hall.
