In this homily for the miraculous intervention of the Saint many find the explanation as to why the runners so often escape from dangerous situations by the skin of their teeth, and why there are not more fatal accidents during the running of the bulls.

Some people sincerely believe in the inspiration of the Saint, while for others it is just a manner of speaking, part of the tradition. In any case it is not a bad idea for everyone, no matter how they think, to sing this homily before taking part in the running of the bulls.
