The Miura bulls, the fastest in the history

The Sanfermin 2015 Running of the Bulls came to an end this morning with the Miura bull-ranch creating some history: the mythical bull-breed featured in the fastest ever Running of the Bulls (since 1980), with a run that only took 2 min. 5 sec. from start to finish.

Statistics tell us that another four Runnings of the Bulls also get into the “top 5” of the fastest ever runs, although this 14th of July tops the list by six seconds from any other. The second-fastest bull-ranch is the El Pilar which, on the 13th of July, 2011, finished their run in just 2 min. 11 sec. Just like today’s running, they too only caused a few injuries, due to bruises and contusion. Two other bull-ranches that are habitual visitors to the streets of Pamplona are in joint third and fourth place: Garcigrande yesterday, in the bullrun of the 13th of July this year; Conde de la Corte, on  the 8th of July, 1998, made ran the course in the very same time of  2 min. 12 sec.

Finally, the Cebada Gago bull-ranch, on the 10th of July, 1998, featured in a very fast running, but it was also a dangerous one, as these bulls caused two gorings in their run.
